Pamela Volm Named ABC 2015 National Chair

Washington, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today announced that Pamela Volm, president of Annapolis Contracting Inc. in Annapolis, Md., has been elected to serve as ABC’s 2015 national chair. Volm has previously served on ABC’s executive committee as Mid-Atlantic region vice chair from Jan. 2011 to Dec. 2013 and on ABC’s national board of directors from 2001-2006. She has also served in a leadership role at the chapter level with ABC’s Chesapeake Shores Chapter.

“Pamela’s 22 years of experience in the construction industry and 16 years of service as an ABC leader will continue to be a tremendous asset to ABC and our members and we are excited to have her serve as our 2015 national chair,” said ABC President and CEO Mike Bellaman. “Her impressive industry background includes more than a decade as president of Annapolis Contracting, which has been recognized with numerous safety and excellence in construction awards since she founded the company in 2003. We look forward to Pamela’s leadership in continuing to help our members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically, profitably and for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.”

Volm, a graduate of the University of Maryland – Smith School of Business, has more than 22 years of experience in the construction industry and has served as president of Annapolis Contracting Inc. since founding the company in 2003. Under Volm’s leadership, Annapolis Contracting Inc. has received an ABC Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award each year since its founding, has been designated an ABC Accredited Quality Contractor eight times and has won four ABC Chesapeake Shores Awards of Excellence.

ABC also announced that George Nash of Facchina Construction Co., Inc. in La Plata, Md. has been elected to ABC’s National Executive Committee as Mid-Atlantic region vice chair and that David Chapin of Wilmar Electric Service in Lincoln, Neb. has been elected to serve as ABC’s 2015 chair-elect.
