USACE Issues PLA Surveys for Projects in Illinois and the Savannah District

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is seeking feedback from the construction industry about the potential use of government-mandated project labor agreements (PLAs) on large-scale federal projects in Illinois and the Savannah District.

The USACE Louisville District issued a survey about the use of a PLA on an Army Reserve Center at Fort Sheridan, Ill. To read more about the project and how to respond to the survey, click here. Responses should be submitted via email to Michael Hutchens at [email protected] no later than by 1 p.m. (EST) on March 1.

The USACE Savannah District is requesting comments on large-scale federal construction projects within the Savannah District which includes projects in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. To review and learn how to respond to the PLA survey, click here. Responses should be sent to [email protected] by 3 p.m. (EST) on March 8.

All ABC members and construction professionals are encouraged to respond to the request for information. Tell the USACE that government-mandated PLAs harm competition, increase costs, and impede economy and efficiency in government contracting.
