This monthly report displays STEP participants by chapter and level, broken down into each region; the report also shows the percentage of STEP participants in relation to total contractor members at each chapter. The report is updated at the beginning of every month to indicate total number of ABC contractor members participating in the STEP program.

One of the benefits of STEP participation is the recognition our members receive for their continued safety achievements. Below are two press release templates that can be used to promote STEP and ABC member participants. The "chapter" template can be used by ABC chapters to promote their members' STEP achievement levels to local media. The "member" template can be used by ABC members to promote their STEP status to media and customers alike.

This presentation, developed by ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee member Craig Shaffer, CSP (SafetyWorks, Inc.; Dillsburg, PA) uses statistics to compare the safety data of STEP participants vs. non-STEP companies. Chapters can use this presentation to show how Incidence Rates, EMRs and Workers' Comp insurance costs are significantly lower for those ABC members who participate in STEP compared to national averages.
