She leads the association’s lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill and coalition efforts in the business community—chairing the 600-member Coalition for a Democratic Workplace. Prior to joining ABC, Swearingen was a staffer in the office of former Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky.

Vance Walter helps lead the federal affairs team at ABC in a legislative and political capacity. Vance serves as a representative of ABC, advocating for ABC’s legislative positions on Capitol Hill. Vance also directs the political operations for ABC, serving as the staff liaison for ABC PAC. Prior to joining ABC, Vance worked in the polling industry for Public Opinion Strategies and worked for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
