Choate Construction Continues to Give Back

ABC member, Choate Construction, is back at it again proving that community service is a top priority for the company with offices in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. In August, Choate Construction’s dedication to the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation was covered in Construction Executive’s Community Spotlight article when they raised nearly $138,000 with just two events.

Just three short months later, they’ve raised another $85,000 for the CF Foundation.

400 participants joined Choate for their annual Cars & Q for the Cause, the company’s annual car show featuring 70 classic, muscle, and exotic cars and bikes and offering attendees local BBQ and live music at the event which brought in more than $20,000.

Another group from Choate took part in the fourth annual CF Cycle for Life Race in Georgia on Nov. 9 where the Choate team biked 350 miles and raised more than $15,000. The overall race raised $172,000 to support research and therapies for those affected by CF.

In October, Choate organized a Clay Shoot with the help of its sponsors Boyette Electric, Gaylor/Hagemeyer, Sunbelt Rentals, Brent Scarborough Company, Cleland Site Prep and Land Rover of Hilton Head. The event, in its second year, drew 139 participants and 20 volunteers to Clays for a Cause and raised more than $50,000 to benefit the Foundation.

“We are so grateful for our longstanding partnership with Choate Construction,” said Associate Director of the Georgia Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Molly Taggert. “They have truly made tomorrows possible for all of our CF patients.”
