ABC Members Named in Fortune’s Top 100 Companies to Work For

Seven ABC member companies, representing 20 chapters, were ranked in Fortune Magazine’s annual “Top 100 Companies to Work For” list. They include: Edward Jones, DPR Construction, Plante Moran, Baker Donelson, PCL Construction, Ernst & Young, TDIndustries and Kiewit Corporation.

The list outlined information for each company including annual revenue, number of employees in the United States, job growth, diversity, training and a description on what makes working for the company so great. 

DPR Construction, listed at number 10, moved up five spots from the 2013 list and is listed for its impressive client list, open-office floor plan, two net-zero-energy office buildings, business cards with no titles, and its stock program offered to employees.

Fortune picks the “100 Best Companies to Work For” based on a survey conducted with the Great Place to Work Institute that is sent to a random sample of employees from each company and measures job satisfaction, camaraderie and management's credibility to account for two-thirds of the company’s score. The remaining one-third of the score is based on the company's pay and benefit programs, hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.
