During its Nov. 13 meeting in Austin, Texas, the ABC Board of Directors elected Greg Hoberock of hth companies, inc. in Union, Mo., to serve as the association's 2013 national chairman. Dan Brodbeck, of Compass Partners LLC in Brentwood, Tenn., was elected to serve as ABC’s 2013 chairman-elect.
 
Beginning in 2013, ABC’s regions will no longer be referred to as Regions 1-7, but will take the names listed below. Region 1 will be split into two regions. The new names are:

• Pacific Region (formerly Region 1; includes Alaska, Central California, Hawaii, Los Angeles-Ventura, Northern California, Pacific Northwest, San Diego, Southern California and Western Washington chapters)
• Mountain West  Region (formerly Region 1; includes Inland Pacific, Arizona Builders Alliance, Nevada, New Mexico, Rocky Mountain, Utah, Western Colorado and Wyoming chapters)
• Midwest Region (formerly Region 2)
• South Central Region (formerly Region 3)
• Southeast Region (formerly Region 4) 
• Mid-Atlantic Region (formerly Region 5)
• Mid-America Region (formerly Region 6)
• Northeast Region (formerly Region 7)

Other changes to ABC’s Executive Committee in 2013 include:

• Pamela Volm, Annapolis Contracting, Inc. in Annapolis, Md., was named Secretary;  
• Chuck Wiegers, A & A Roofing Co., Inc. in Fairbanks, Ala., was elected Pacific Region (1) vice chairman; 
• Vance Fulkerson, Robins & Morton in Birmingham, Ala., was elected Southeast Region (4) vice chairman; and 
• Kirby Wu, Wu & Associates, Inc. in Cherry Hill, N.J., was elected Northeast Region (7) vice chairman.
