Washington, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today announced that Markwayne Mullin, owner of Mullin Plumbing and a member of the ABC Oklahoma Chapter, has been selected by House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to deliver the weekly Republican radio address on Saturday, Oct. 13. Mullin is running to succeed retiring democratic Rep. Dan Boren in Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District.

“We are excited to hear that Speaker Boehner, a small businessman himself, has selected Mullin, a successful business owner, entrepreneur and ABC member, to give this important address to the nation,” said ABC Director of Political Affairs Chris Singerling. “Washington needs leaders that know what it’s like to create jobs, meet a payroll and sign the front of a paycheck.”

Along with Mullin Plumbing, Markwayne and his wife Christie, own several other businesses in Oklahoma, including Mullin Services, a heating and air conditioning company, Mullin Farms and Mullin Properties.

Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District covers one-fourth of the state in the east and encompasses all or parts of 24 counties, including the towns of McAlester and Muskogee.
