ABC is reminding its contractor member firms that OSHA 300A log summaries must be posted in a conspicuous spot on all construction sites Feb. 1 through April 20.
ABC Jan. 30 offered strong support for the Government Neutrality in Contracting Act (H.R. 436/S. 109), a measure introduced by Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) and Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) that would ensure fair and open competition on federal and federally funded construction projects.

Sam Cook, one of ABC’s “Leaders of the Century” and author of “Freedom in the Workplace,” which describes the history of ABC, passed away Oct. 30 in Baltimore, Md. He was 91 years old.
In an April 17 letter to a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee in response to its hearing, “Reviewing the Impact of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs' (OFCCP) Regulatory and Enforcement Actions,” ABC reacted to a recent OFCCP proposed rulemaking that would set hiring quotas for federal contractors to employ workers with disabilities, in addition to requiring greatly increased recordkeeping and affirmative action steps.
