ABC member Markwayne Mullin, owner of Mullin Plumbing, Inc., Broken Arrow, Okla., and a member of ABC’s Oklahoma Chapter, on Aug. 28 won a runoff race that allows him to compete for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Last week, the DOL issued a solicitation for construction services on its estimated $20 million to $50 million Job Corps Center in Manchester, N.H., without a discriminatory and costly PLA mandate or preference. The Michigan Supreme Court Sept. 5 ordered a proposal be placed on the statewide ballot that would negatively impact the merit shop construction workforce by nullifying the ban on government-mandated project labor agreements (PLAs) and preventing Michigan from becoming a right-to-work state, among other changes.
