The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Aug. 7 filed an appeal against the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia’s May 14 decision to overturn the board’s ambush elections rule because it was adopted without the statutorily required quorum of members.

The two-member Democratic majority of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has come under fire for a decision to schedule a Nov. 30 vote on a proposal that could dramatically shorten the length of time between when a petition is filed and a union election takes place.
