Join ABC and a growing list of industry peers, Feb. 24-25, 2014, in Dallas for the annual Public-Private Partnership Conference. Hundreds of developers, public-planners and A/C/E experts from across the country will be in attendance to discover opportunities to partner with cities, states and local agencies. 

For the first time, ABC brought together construction users and contractors to discuss industry safety, quality and workforce during the ABC Industrial Users Summit, Oct. 22-23 in San Antonio.

ABC launched a new social media initiative which will enhance the Hispanic advocacy efforts within the organization, with three of ABC National’s social media accounts now available in Spanish.

At the 2013 National Craft Championships (NCC), Daniel Ary Sr. from Bakersfield, Calif., represented ABC member company TIC in the welding-pipe competition. During the competition, Ary displayed his passion for his craft and his passion for being a part of the construction industry is clearly demonstrated in the video below. By sending a craft trainee to compete in the 2014 NCC competition, ABC members can also showcase their talented and dedicated employees.

ABC members who want to apply for the National Safety Excellence Awards (NSEA) have until Friday, Oct. 25 to submit their applications. New for 2013, Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Gold recipients are eligible to apply for the award along with all 2013 Diamond and Platinum recipients.

ABC members  and chapters have the opportunity to showcase the talent of their current workforce and company’s commitment to training on a national level by sending a competitor to the 2014 National Craft Championships

Due to the Federal Government’s shutdown, the NCPPP and Association of Defense Communities’ Federal Energy workshop will now be held December 10-11 in Arlington, Va. The meeting will focus on the use of public-private partnerships (P3s) and how they play a role in a range of federal government energy program objectives.

The 2013 ABC Attorneys Conference content-rich program covers the latest developments and insights impacting labor law and open competition in the construction industry. The conference also is an opportunity for CLE credits upon request. 

Representatives from Nova Group, Inc. and Cajun Industries, LLC will share best practices about how they continuously meet owner/user quality standards on highly regulated and controlled jobsites during the session, “Delivering Quality in a Challenging Environment,” at the Industrial Users Summit, Oct. 22-23, in San Antonio. This is just one of several panels highlighting the work of ABC members in safety, quality and workforce development.
