All ABC contractor members received the monthly Construction Backlog Indicator/Construction Confidence Survey in their inboxes on Tuesday, April 20. Please encourage your members to respond to this monthly survey to help us understand the market forces that are shaping the construction outlook for the coming months.
Steve Klessig, vice president of architecture and engineering, Keller Inc., Kaukauna, Wisconsin, took the reins as the 2021 ABC national chair at ABC’s March board of directors meeting in Grapevine, Texas, on March 9.
From March 7-13, ABC celebrated Women in Construction Week to raise awareness of the growing role of women in the construction industry and encourage women to consider a career in construction. ABC demonstrated the success of women in the industry through social media posts, letters to the editor and op-eds published in various media outlets.
ABC PAC has raised $83,000 in two weeks, which includes twelve max-out contributions of $5,000. Over the 2021-2022 election cycle, ABC PAC is tasked with raising $1,800,000.

ABC Indiana/Kentucky chapter took a unique approach to combat issues created by COVID-19 and lockdowns. The ABC Electrical Apprenticeship Learning Portal webpage was created for electrical apprentices—allowing them to submit classwork, training hours and even view recorded lessons.
