With a shortage of N-95 face masks used by health care and first responders, the White House has called for donations to local hospitals from construction contractors and other industries that have supplies on hand.

Some ABC members have already donated masks and other essential materials. Examples include:

• ABC Greater Michigan’s Pioneer Construction Inc. donated 600 masks with its subcontractor partners Kent Concrete Co., Grand River Construction Inc. and Bouma Corp.
• ABC Nebraska member Sampson Construction donated 595 N-95 respirator masks with particulate filters. In addition, Hausmann Construction donated nine power-air-purifying-respirator hoods with motors and Wilmar Electric Service donated masks to Bryan Medical Center.
• ABC Pelican members B & H Distributors Inc. and Brown & Root Industrial Services donated nitrile gloves, masks and glasses to several local hospitals in Louisiana.
