Congress is going on recess. And ABC members have a valuable opportunity to meet with legislators, develop a genuine rapport and communicate the critical issues facing the construction industry. To help members take make the most of the recess, ABC has put together a 2013 Congressional Recess Grassroots Toolkit.

The toolkit contains:

• Information on arranging meeting or planning a site visit with legislators
• Key legislation, including the American Job Protection Act (H.R. 903/S. 399) the Government Neutrality in Contracting Act (H.R. 436/S. 109) and the Legal Workforce Act (H.R. 1772)
• Key talking points for immigration
• A survey for members to tell ABC which specific tax provisions to defend as Congress tackled comprehensive tax reform
