Employers have until Dec. 1 to train their employees on the changes to OSHA's Global Harmonization Standard (GHS) including the new Safety Data Sheets (SDS). All employers using hazardous chemicals in the workplace must comply with the changes made to the SDS--including the new specified 16-section format--and should be aware of OSHA’s training expectations and strategies for meeting the Hazard Communication Standards. For more information on the new rule, OSHA has put together a fact sheet outlining the changes and additions. To help ABC members prepare for the change, ABC is offering a free webinar Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. (ET) to review athe new requirements and provide strategies to comply by the Dec. 1 deadline.
