Public hearings on the SAFE Vehicles proposed rule will be held on Sept. 24, 25 and 26 in Dearborn, Michigan; Fresno, California; and Pittsburgh. Additional details for these meetings can be found in the Federal Register notice. The notice also states that the public will be able to comment on NHTSA’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement that accompanies the SAFE Vehicles rule. Further, the public can submit written comments on the SAFE Vehicles rule. The deadline for submitting these comments is Oct. 23.
