ABC's Regulatory Alert, released Nov. 22, provides an overview of federally mandated rules, regulations and enforcement actions from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other federal agencies. The alert includes brief summaries of DOL’s overtime rule*, which was blocked from going into effect Dec. 1, by a judge in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas on Nov. 22. The DOL’s persuader rule, which a federal judge permanently blocked in a decision issued Nov. 16, as well as links to more detailed information and guidance.
