A new Facebook contest beginning Thursday, April 25 supports the 2013 National Craft Championships (NCC) competitors who are gearing up for the competition, which will be held April 30-May 2. The contest provides an opportunity to vote for one of the 13 crafts represented at the competition. To vote, visit the NCC Facebook page here. The winning craft will be announced at NCC Thursday, May 2.

To highlight the competitors’ accomplishments and hard work, their stories have been highlighted on the NCC website and Facebook page to serve as real life examples of success. To see more on the competitors including their hometowns, employers, affiliate ABC chapter and why they chose a specific craft, visit the “Meet the Competitors” section of the National Craft Championships website. 

To stay up-to-date on the competition, the NCC "Builder Nation" app is available for both Apple and Android devices. The app includes competitor stories, a conference schedule, pictures, updates on what’s happening at the event and more. To download the app, search for "Builder Nation" in the iTunes or Google Play store.  

Builder Nation is an initiative of the Trimmer Construction Education Foundation, designed to connect craft professionals and those interested in pursuing a craft as a career.
