OSHA has begun its annual national outreach initiative to educate workers and employers about the hazards of heat illness. The campaign includes educational materials on heat illness in English and Spanish, resources for conducting training in the workplace and an app for mobile devices. The app enables workers and supervisors to monitor the heat index at their work sites. It displays a risk level for workers based on the heat index, as well as reminders about protective measures that should be taken at that risk level.
