The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command have issued two surveys soliciting comments from the construction industry on the potential use of project labor agreements (PLA) on projects in Kentucky and Maryland.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) survey is in response to the potential use of a government-mandated PLA on a federal contract for the construction of a Replacement Medical Clinic at Fort Knox, Ky. All survey responses must be completed and sent to [email protected] no later than August 13.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) issued a survey about the potential use of a government-mandated PLA on a federal contract for the construction of temporary medical facilities at Naval Support Activity in Bethesda, Md. NAVFAC is requesting that all survey responses be completed by August 10 and sent to [email protected].
ABC National has taken the opportunity to respond to all PLA surveys as they are issued and encourages its members to do the same. For assistance with responding to the survey, contact ABC’s Director of Federal Procurement and Labor Affairs Ben Brubeck, [email protected].
