The ABC Heart of American Chapter and OSHA formalized an alliance to protect the safety and health of Missouri and Kansas construction workers during a signing ceremony Jan. 15. Through the alliance, ABC and OSHA will work together to provide information, guidance and access to education and training resources to construction workers throughout Missouri and Kansas. The effort focuses particularly on reducing and preventing exposure to occupational hazards including struck-by, fall, caught-in-between and electrical hazards. “We are excited to reactivate our relationship with OSHA,” said Michele Roberts-Bauer, president of the ABC Heart of America Chapter. “An alliance with OSHA is a great way to start the year and continue our expansion of high-quality safety services to our membership and the public.” Included in the signing ceremony were Roberts-Bauer along with Paul Cohen ABC Heart of America Chapter 2014 Safety Council Chairman of Cretcher Heartland; Marcia P. Drumm, OSHA regional administrator in Kansas City, and Barbara Theriot, area director of OSHA.
