ABC members from the Wisconsin Chapter participated in a Tele-Town Hall Meeting March 13 with Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and more than 2,300 other Wisconsin business owners from Associated General Contractors, the National Association of Manufacturers and the National Federation of Independent Business in the first of a series of virtual meetings with Senators from across the country sponsored by ABC’s Free Enterprise Alliance. Senator Johnson, a business owner himself, gave a brief update on what is going on in Washington and discussed his plans on how he is working with his colleagues to take the burden off America’s job creators. “After 31 years as a manufacturer, I understand first-hand the frustration of businesses across the country dealing with a tax and regulatory burden that hampers their ability to expand and create good paying jobs,” said Senator Johnson. The forum ended with a 30 minute question and answer session with the participants the call.
