ABC will bring together construction users and contractors Oct. 8-9 to discuss the industry’s safety, quality and workforce issues during its third annual Users Summit in St. Pete, Fla. This exclusive event is limited to 150 participants and includes a mix of users and chief executives and senior managers from ABC contractor members in the health care and industrial markets. During the event, attendees will discuss common issues that affect the way projects are planned and delivered, as well as demonstrate how merit shop contractors deliver value to their customers. The summit also will give ABC member contractors the opportunity to understand what owners need during the planning and delivery process. Based on the success of the past two Users Summits focused on the industrial market, this year the event has expanded to include owners from the health care market. The program’s format allows all contractors and owners to come together for general sessions, networking functions and breakout sessions where issues unique to those markets are addressed. Past Users Summit attendees included representatives from large industrial construction firms such as Cajun Industries, NOVA Group and Kwest Group, as well as major construction users such as GE Aviation, LG&E and KU Services Co, Hospital Corporation of America, Valero and ISN Software Corporation, which is an owner representative for several large industrial contractors.
