On Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m. (ET) Ernst & Young will be hosting a webinar on how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) will affect companies’ benefit designs, workforce composition, reporting systems, tax administration and bottom line. During the webinar a panel of experts will discuss how executives in tax, human resources, information technology and finance need to become familiar with impending deadlines and develop a comprehensive strategy for addressing key provisions of the law. The webinar will include an overview of PPACA, including a discussion of the major employer requirements, key effective dates and what companies need to know in the short- and long-term. Panelists include, Jeffrey Saviano, director of indirect and state and local Tax, Ernst & Young LLP; Anne Phelps, a member of Washington Council Ernst & Young; Helen Morrison, performance & reward, Ernst & Young LLP; and Hank Neely, Americas markets leader, Ernst & Young LLP. Washington Council Ernst & Young works on behalf of the Employers for Flexibility in Health Care (E-Flex) coalition, in which ABC is a participant. E-Flex has participated in numerous meetings with the Obama administration and has consistently advocated for the employer provisions in PPACA to be examined as a whole.
