ABC Greater Baltimore chapter member Kate Lawrence of Lawrence Law LLC is the newest member of the Beam Club Presidential Level. To reach this level, ABC members must recruit 25 new members.

ABC members made up 15 of the top 20 ranked by revenue on Engineering News-Record’s 2024 Top 400 Contractors list. ABC member Turner Construction Co. nabbed the top spot, while, overall, ABC members made up 59 of the top 100.

Lane Grigsby, chair emeritus of Cajun Industries, headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was recently awarded ABC’s inaugural Legacy Medallion for Advocacy for his contributions to the merit shop construction industry over more than 50 years.

ABC honored Ben Houston with the Life Membership Award at ABC Leadership Institute in Palm Springs, California. A Life Member is an individual retired from an active role in the industry who contributed outstanding service to ABC during their active years.

ABC Congratulates 30 Members Awarded DOL’s 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Congratulations to the 30 ABC members that have been honored by the U.S. Department of Labor with the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award, only federal-level award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention and professional development.

ABC congratulates the following members for successfully earning the Accredited Quality Contractor credential for the first time: Complete Mechanical Services of Cincinnati, a member of ABC’s Ohio Valley chapter; GovSolutions Inc. | Falkbuilt Greater Hampton Roads of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a member of ABC’s Virginia Chapter; and T.W. Frierson Contractor Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee, a member of ABC’s Greater Tennessee chapter.

The AQC program recognizes and honors construction firms that document their commitment to excellence in key areas of corporate responsibility: quality, safety, craft and management education, talent management and community relations. A company that meets the criteria set forth in the program and has earned STEP Gold, Platinum or Diamond status in ABC’s safety management system is formally designated an Accredited Quality Contractor.

Construction Executive won the Silver EXCEL award from Association Media and Publishing for general excellence in the magazine—circulation 50,001 or more category. Since its launch in 2003, CE has won more than 20 editorial awards.

Of the nation's top ten construction companies, eight are ABC members, according to Engineering News-Record's recently published annual list of the Top 400 Contractors. These successful contractors were ranked based on 2022 revenue.

ABC Delaware President Ed Capodanno was recognized with a tribute thanking him for his “long and illustrious leadership at both Associated Builders and Contractors, Delaware Chapter, and a wide range of community service work in the First State,” signed by every Delaware state lawmaker, Republican and Democrat.
