From May 2-6, ABC will observe Construction Safety Week and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls in construction with a social media campaign sharing tools and resources. ABC encourages its members to participate in these events and renew their commitment to keep all workers safe on all jobsites.

ABC highlights the five core leading indicators members use to increase safety performance every day from the 2022 Safety Performance Report. Additional information on safety tools and resources can be found on the Construction Safety Week website and on ABC’s list of general safety resources. ABC members are also invited to join ABC’s webinar on safety innovation on May 5.

The goal of OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down is to reinforce the importance of fall prevention. OSHA has a series of posters in English and in Spanish as well as customizable posters to help share this message with employees. ABC also encourages its members to use OSHA’s email signature banners throughout the week and post their own stand-down events on the OSHA website. Contact your regional stand-down coordinator and view all the safety stand-down events happening in your region on the OSHA website.

For additional information on Construction Safety Week or the National Safety Stand-Down, please contact Joseph Xavier, ABC’s senior director of health and safety.
