During ABC’s 2015 Legislative Week June 22-26, in Washington, D.C., you have the opportunity to show the country’s decision-makers how certain legislative activity is affecting the construction industry and your business. During the event, ABC members from across the country will be meeting with members of Congress June 25-26, to discuss topics pertaining to the construction industry. In order to promote the Merit Shop and legislation needed to help your business, join our free webinar “ABC’s of Lobbying,” June 16, to review the basic steps you need to know in order to effectively lobby your representatives. In addition to your congressional visits, you’ll be able to take part in the following events during Legislative Week: Free Enterprise Alliance Reception Hear from Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) as she discusses her thoughts on today's political environment as it relates to ABC, the construction industry and the merit shop on Tuesday, June 23 from 6-7:30 p.m. (Separately ticketed event) Young Professional Happy Hour Young Professionals looking to learn more about how to interact with their congressmen and to meet other young leaders in the construction industry can attend the Young Professional Happy Hour & Lobbying 101 session on Wednesday, June 24 from 4-6 p.m. Legislative Breakfast Hear from dynamic speakers knowledgeable about issues important to ABC members during a breakfast presentation on Thursday, June 25 from 8-10 a.m. ABC Rooftop Reception Join ABC members in town for Legislative Week for a reception on the rooftop at ABC National’s office overlooking the Capitol on Thursday, June 25 from 5-7 p.m. The registration rates increase after Friday, May 29 and hotel rooms are quickly selling out.
